The Mysterious LED
| hide details 12:13 AM (13 hours ago) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
hi mehreen,
i ve been thinking about it and i think a description may take away from the mystery of the piece.
can we say something like:
ayesha jatoi once again creates a text piece, into which many meanings can be drawn from.
this ambigious statement's aim is to prompt or provoke the viewer into imagining what it
could mean but reiterates jatoi's idea of not adding a fixed meaning or a particular
way of viewing a work of art. The viewer/reciever's role in completing the piece, is paramount.
what say u?
ayesha

On the Interpretaions of Silence
Hey,
Its an interesting project. I just wanted to add that I have always found cars to be coffins, enclosed, the mirrors up. Its always a kind of strange disconnect from whats outside. Whats enthralling is the rickshaw. The open space, the hitting of air from all sides, when it rains the water hits you, even if you dont want to feel it. And the feeling of sitting with a stranger, you never know if he'll be talkative, stoned or just brooding. Its fascinating. I enclose a few photographs

Sounds VERY exciting mehreen!.. And I'm sure you're bound to come up with something amazingly brilliant like you always do and serve as a major inspiration!.. :)
The part the relationship between a vehicle and man intervening with expectations seems interesting.. And not to forgot that a car is a man's second wife!.. :P Wonder how the serving or meeting expectations part comes in there!.. ;D
Best of luck and loads of love!.. xoxoxo!.. :D

Panoramic sketch with desi unday
Yesterday I shot two bracketed sequences for HDR panoramas on a heavy tripod with a remote. There's a lot to sort out because people kept running through the frames mid-sequence and then I'd have to start over again with the 5 step brackets. Meanwhile I had several of the scariest conversations about the state of the country and who the real culprits are- who are friend and who are foe.
